Fine Hygienic Holding (FHH), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hygienic paper products, recently signed a collective agreement with the General Trade Union of Printing, Photography, and Paper workers, which guarantees annual wage increases for the employees across all companies within FHH in Jordan, effective April 1, 2018. This agreement serves to recognize and benefit the employees who work tirelessly to produce and sell Fine’s high quality hygienic paper products, ensuring that they receive fair compensation for their efforts.
Along with increased salaries for employees, the agreement also sets forth a plan for increased coordination and cooperation on many key areas related to Fine’s manufacturing operations. This includes a review of all health and safety protocol in addition to workplace facilities and services, as well as collaborative efforts to reduce operational costs and increase productivity.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director of the General Trade Union of Printing, Photography, and Paper Employees, Mohammad Al Zoubi, said, “Our union has a long history of serving the interests of our members, and we are proud to continue doing everything in our power to make sure that they are treated fairly and equitably by their employers. Having worked closely with Fine for many years now, we are proud to see their ongoing commitment to best management practices, and their dedication to upholding our shared values.”
“This agreement is a major achievement for us here at FHH, as we are always working to fulfill our commitments to our employees,” said Nicola Billeh, FHH Chief Human Energy. “Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone at the Fine family enjoys a safe, productive, and rewarding work environment, and by working closely alongside the trade union, we hope to continue to elevate Fine’s positioning as a top employer in the region.”
This agreement represents the latest step in Fine Hygienic Holding’s continuous efforts to create a safe, comfortable, and inclusive work environment for employees. FHH upholds the strictest international standards for health and safety, maintaining certification from the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series, and continually training and updating its employees on all key protocol.
Fine is also committed to ensuring the satisfaction of its team, providing exceptional work-life balance and developing open channels for employees to communicate with management. Thanks to these efforts, FHH has been repeatedly recognized as a top employer in the MENA region: the company has received the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence four times, as well as the Aon Hewitt Award, which recognizes Fine as one of the top 15 employers in the Middle East.
